Overall, I am happy with this scroll but I did encounter several several problems…the biggest being that my gesso, for the raised gilding, failed and would not become adhesive when breathed upon. Also my gold gouache did not give me a good consistency and forced me to look at better gold gouache for future projects. I forgot to scan the document so I took a picture with my iPhone. As you can see there were some odd lighting effects and makes the scroll look rough.

Illumination: flat, Winsor & Newton Gold and Silver Gouache; raised, Jerry Tressers gesso, imitation gold leaf
Paper: Pergamenanta, 250grm; the paper was died black using calligraphy ink
