My wife, Baroness Tetinka, and I have been tasked with creating the medallion and scroll for the next Lion of Atenveldt.  It is a two part construction:  I created the main scroll, Tinka created the Thor’s Hammer, and I wrapped it up with the gilding.

Pen & Ink:  Outline done with Pigma archival ink pen; Windsor & Newton Calligraphy red ink.  Parallel Pen

Illumination:  Imitation gold

Paper:  Pergamenata, 230 gsm

Inspiration:  Non-specific.  I found inspiration for the knotwork from a “Viking” chair.  The lion is a the likeness of the medallion that was handed out with the scroll.
