One of my most recent scrolls.  This is a fun little scroll (only about 6″x 5″) to draw and color.  A simple boarder enhanced by raised illumination.

Pen & Ink:  Winsor & Newton Black Calligraphy Ink, Speedball C-5 nib

Illumination:  Jerry Tresser’s Gesso and imitation gold leaf

Paper:  Pergamenata, 23o gsm

Inspiration:  French, Petites Heures, c. 1385-90
